Monday 17th October 2022 After a leisurely breakfast, we will take a late morning stroll to Anne Hathaway's Cottage, the family home of Anne Hathaway, William Shakespeare’s wife-to-be. If you prefer to catch the local bus that's no problem as buses run frequently. It is at the Cottage that Anne was born and raised and where the young Shakespeare would have visited her during the early part of their relationship. The cottage was built more than 500 years ago with much of the original cottage surviving. After leaving the Cottage we will have lunch in town before heading to Shakespeare's childhood home in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. You will hear tales of Shakespeare’s family life and see many objects from the Trust’s world class collections as you discover how the extraordinary playwright continues to shape our lives today. We will then make the short walk back to the hotel where you can relax and unwind before we go out for our group evening meal in a local restaurant.
Tuesday 18th October 2022 After a relaxing breakfast you will have a relaxing day! This is our group spa day where you will have the opportunity to have your 2 chosen spa treatments as well as enjoy the indoor pool and sauna. This is a lovely way to spend group time while rejuvenating and unwinding. During the afternoon we will be served afternoon tea of scones, cakes and a selection of sandwiches (all included in your spa day). We will have our group dinner in another local restaurant.
Wednesday 19th October 2022 After a relaxing breakfast we will be met by our Blue Badge Guide who will take us on a private walking tour of Stratford Upon Avon.
