We have a fantastic day trip to Kilkenny including entrance to Kilkenny Castle plus a visit to Trinity College, home to the stunning Book of Kells and the historic Long Room library. Stroll along the cobbled streets of Temple Bar, Dublin's cultural quarter, renowned for its eclectic mix of pubs, galleries, and street performers. Don’t worry we won’t miss the Guinness Storehouse, where we will learn about the brewing process and enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Gravity Bar. We end our trip with a real treat! We will embark on Anne Lister’s Dublin guided walking tour including a visit to Christ Church Cathedral.

On arrival in Dublin, we will be transferred to our hotel by private transfer. We’ll then spend the next 3 nights in a central Dublin hotel exploring Dublin and the surrounding area of Kilkenny, a picturesque city and a treasure trove of medieval charm, cultural richness, and natural beauty. Nestled along the banks of the River Nore, Kilkenny is often referred to as the "Marble City" due to its historic association with the local black marble, a prominent feature in its architecture. The city's centrepiece is Kilkenny Castle, an imposing structure that dates back to the 12th century, boasting beautifully landscaped gardens and a rich tapestry of history. The medieval streets of Kilkenny are lined with colourful shops, traditional pubs, and artisanal boutiques.

23rd - Full day sightseeing tour in Kilkenny - including entrance to Kilkenny Castle. In the evening we will have our group dinner (payable locally)
24th – In the morning we will visit Trinity College and the Book of Kells (entrance included) and the Guinness Experience. After lunch, we will be met by our Anne Lister guide as we embark on Anne Lister’s Dublin Walking Tour which includes entry to Christ Church Cathedral. We will have our group dinner (payable locally) then we’ll visit a local gay bar with our Anne Lister guides.
25th - Today we say our fond farewells to Dublin as we take our private transfers to Dublin airport for our flights home
