About Amazones Eco Land
Amazones Eco Land is located in the heart of Lesbos island, Greece and is situated in a lush green valley, surrounded by olive groves and fruit trees, and just a short distance from the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Here you will find a beautiful holistic retreat and a safe haven where women from around the world come together to enjoy a range of activities and experiences that allow them to connect with nature, themselves, and each other. Whether you want to relax by the pool, explore their organic garden, practice yoga or meditation, or participate in one of their workshops, you will be enriched by the unique and transformative experience.
How it all started
It started out as a small group of women with a shared vision. Most of them had carried this vision close to their hearts for years. It is the idea that a space can exist for women by women, which combines together the holistic and ecological care of the land, the love of art and creation, self-expression and nurturing, and of course, the love of women.
We have a range of workshops and visits for you to book.

Workshop & Activities
Workshops are led by women from the local community who love sharing their craft, skills & knowledge to the world.
Kindly note we require a minimum of 5 people per activity.
Prices do not include taxis to/from Aeolian Village Beach Resort to Amazones. We will arrange taxi shares on the day for €5 per person payable locally.

Morning guided tour of Amazones Eco Land
This will be led by their team of women, talking through their dreams and ambitions, the values this project is carrying in its core, and welcoming participants in the Amazones community. This will be followed by a guided 45-minute walk through the hills to reach Podaras beach, a secret space nestled between rock formations (kindly note there is a steep hill to climb). We'll enjoy time on the beach and swimming in the crystal clear water before walking to the local village of Tavari and have lunch at Marina's taverna.

Afternoon traditional ceramics class
Follow Magda, a local ceramics artist & creator, as she brings us on a creative and fun journey through the traditional Greek ceramic techniques. Awaken your inner child, put your hands deep in the clay and share a moment of communion with women. Approx. 2h.

Morning Mesotopos tour
We will have a walk through the small village of Mesotopos, stopping by the local women's cooperative and the local cheese and ouzo factories. A journey through time, a projection of what a resilient community can look like. Approx. 2 hours.

Afternoon Feta cheese making workshop
With her famous laughter and open heart, Shula will unveil all the secrets behind Greece's feta cheese. From milking the goat all the way to eating this Greek delicacy, we will learn the art of cheese making step by step. Approx. 2h.

Morning Bread making workshop
Maria, a local chef from Tavari, will teach us bread making the Lesvos way. A two-hour workshop during which we will put our hands in the dough, have fun, and spend time at the heart of one the island's authentic villages. Approx. 2h.

Afternoon Greek cooking class by Georgia. You will then enjoy what you have cooked as we have dinner at Amazones - all together to enjoy our final evening visiting this beautiful retreat.

Kindly note we do require a minimum number to guarantee our hosted group holidays. In the unlikely event we do not reach the numbers required we will refund your deposit in full.
