Leisure day in Arusha to relax after your international flight. Known affectionately as the "Geneva of Africa," Arusha is much more than a simple stopover, it is characterized by a vibrant city llfe, where downtown is a busy, colorful mix of old colonial buildings, chaotic traffic, modern conveniences, and bustling local markets. It’s also surrounded by the fertile volcanic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and sits near stunning naturall areas like Lake Duluti and Arusha National Park, where you can do walking safaris or hike waterfalls. Arusha is surprisingly Cosmopolitan & Green, boasting a range of restaurants and coffee shops.
Day 3 | 8 January 2028
Today we drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its magnificent elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife.
Key Highlights
Giant Elephants: The park is famous for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, with concentrations reaching up to 300 individuals in a single group.
The BaobabLandscape: The savannah is dotted with hundreds of centuries-old baobab trees (also known as the "Tree of Life"), creating stunning photographic backdrops.
Birdwatching: With over 500 recorded species, it is a world-class destination for birders.

Day 4 | 9 January 2028
Today we have a full day’s game drive. Overnight in the Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast we drive to Karatu via the Lake Manyara National Park, home to diverse birdlife, hippos, monkeys, and beautiful groundwater forests, before overnighting in Karatu.
Day 6 | 11 January 2028
Today we have an early departure for Ngorongoro Crater game drive, offering one of the best opportunities to spot the Big Five in a single day. This is followed by a scenic drive to the Southern Serengeti (Ndutu area). We overnight in the Southern Serengeti
Day 7 | 12 January 2028
Today we have a full-day’s game drive in the Serengeti, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless other wildlife. Overnight in the Southern Serengeti.
Day 8 | 13 January 2028
Another full day’s game drive, exploring different regions of the Serengeti, following wildlife movements and enjoying unforgettable game viewing. Overnight in the Southern Serengeti.
Day 9 | 14 January 2028
Another full day’s game drive, searching for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and countless other wildlife. Overnight in the Southern Serengeti.
Day 10 | 15 January 2028
Today we start our drive back stopping for the night at Lake Eyasi. Unlike the traditional wildlife-heavy northern circuit, this is an off-the-beaten-track destination famous for immersive cultural encounters with indigenous tribes, including the hunter-gatherer Hadzabe and the metalworking Datoga
Day 11 | 16 January 2028
This morning we experience an authentic cultural visit with the Hadzabe hunter-gatherer community and learn about their fascinating traditions, survival skills, and unique way of life, with an opportunity to also meet the Datoga people. Followed by our drive back to Arusha for the night.
Day 12 | 17 January 2028
Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight.

Visas: UK citizens need a Single Entry Tourist Visa to enter Tanzania, which can be obtained online in advance of your arrival. Entry forms (the Yellow Health Form and the Passenger Declaration Form) must also be completed upon arrival.
US Citizens require a multiple-entry Tourist visa (often referred to as a 1-year multi-entry visa) valid for up to 90 days per stay. This is a mandatory requirement - even if only visiting once and costs $100
Passport & Entry Requirements: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival and contain at least one blank page.
Travel Documents: You must have proof of sufficient funds and a return or onward flight ticket.
Health Requirements: A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is ONLY required if you are arriving from or have transited for more than 12 hours through a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission. For more information please visit the WHO website.
Routine Vaccines: While not mandatory, both the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Preventio) and WHO (World Health Organisation) strongly recommend ensuring routine immunizations like Polio, Tetanus, and MMR are up-to-date.
